Advanced Port Security

Description:

This course provides security personnel and emergency responders with extensive awareness and understanding of security at seaports, thereby strengthening each port’s security.

 

Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the complex maritime environment, including its unique vulnerability to terrorist attacks
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the components of the maritime domain
  • Describe the practices and regulations related to maritime security
  • Explain the different seaport security responsibilities
  • Outline the different roles in vessel and port security planning, including identifying the nature of risks faced by seaports
  • Recognize key emergency preparedness and response controls related to both terrorist attacks and natural disasters

Audience:

Military, security, and law enforcement personnel assigned to the seaport environment

 

Duration:

Eight (8) hours
